Homebuyer Education
BOTHANDS provides free education workshops to help families and individuals become ready to purchase a first home. Workshops are held at our office, located at 2304 N. Third St. in Sunnyside across from Killip Elementary School, unless otherwise stated. Homebuyer Orientation:
This one and a half hour orientation will tell you everything you need to know about the homebuying process and will help you identify where you are in that process. You'll learn about BOTHANDS' one-on-one counseling services, education workshops and down payment assistance. Upcoming class dates:

Credit and Budget Skills for Homebuyers
Our credit and budgeting workshop is four hours in length and will show you not only why budgeting is important for a family to meet specific goals, but will also give you the tools to build an effective family budget. We'll also work with you to show you where you can trim expenses to save funds for down-payment on a home. Trained instructors present information about credit reports, how to fix credit and why credit is important. They will give you tools to help you repair credit, if necessary, and to avoid common credit pitfalls. Upcoming class dates:

Homebuyer Workshop:
This workshop provides soon-to-be homebuyers with information about the lending and escrow process. Experts from lending institutions, the real estate industry and title companies share information with participants about the home-buying process and what happens behind-the-scenes. The workshop is made possible thanks to ongoing partnerships with local lenders, realtors and title companies. Upcoming class dates:

Post Purchase Workshop:
For BOTHANDS Homeowners to complete after the purchase of their home, this workshop covers such topics as avoiding foreclosure, basic home maintenance and repair and energy efficiency.
