When: 8:30-11:00 a.m., October 8th, 2011
Where: Starting at the front lawn of City Hall
Help put an end to domestic violence by strolling around downtown Flagstaff as part of the second annual Walk for a Change. Walkers will have a choice of when they start (anytime between 8:30 and 11:00) and of which route they want to take (one mile or three miles), and each will include water and snack stations. Your $35 registration fee includes a t-shirt that, if you wear it around town after the race, will earn you discounts with local merchants. Registering is easy--just click the "Register" link and you will be directed to our online registration form--and we encourage you to gather your friends and family members to form a team of five people or more!
Joining Hands Presentations:
Come learn more about BOTHANDS and Sharon Manor! We'd like to invite you to attend one of our Joining Hands Presentations, an hour-long tour and presentation to learn what it is we do here at BOTHANDS. Presentations are held at our office, located at 2304 N. Third, in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Flagstaff. Please contact Cheryl at (928) 214-7456 or cblume@bothands.org to let us know that you would like to attend.
Upcoming Joining Hands: Scheduled at your convenience - give us a call!
Annual Fundraising Breakfast:
At our Annual Fundraising Breakfast, we share stories of success and discuss our challenges with donors of all levels. The Breakfast has become famous for our display of "paper people" around the room. Each paper cut our represents one person who received the benefit of BOTHANDS services - at the 2010 event 3,668 colorful paper cut outs surrounded us.
We would like to thank members of our Dream Builders Society who have committed to supporting our organization with a minimum of $1,000 each year for five years. We could not do our work without their support. We would also like to thank our Table Captains, these wonderful people helped fill the room and ensure that community members were there to hear our story.
